Congratulations, your child will begin Junior High in the #1 ranked school
district in the State of California. Starting Junior High is a momentous
occasion, and it is sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.

The Los Altos Educational Foundation enhances your child’s
junior high school education by providing a learning experience filled with exciting science labs, small group English Literature discussions and the latest technology.

LAEF is funded by $800 per student tax-deductible donations from
parents throughout the school district—parents just like you!

Your $800/child tax-deductible donation funds:
* Smaller Class Sizes in Science
* Smaller Class Sizes in Social Studies
* Smaller Class Sizes in English
* Technology Specialists

Through LAEF funding, most core classes at Egan and Blach have 20-24 students instead of 30 or more. Smaller class sizes promote stronger student-teacher interaction and enable teachers to get to know your student better.

Technology Specialists allow students and teachers to use laptops and other digital resources in the classroom, enabling them to develop creative projects like iMovies and Keynote presentations as an integral part of classroom instruction.
